Every book/movie has one of those wise characters. Those are, most of the time, the characters that form the story, and by that I mean without them there would be no story. I'm going to take two stories: The Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit (they count as one) and Harry Potter; and with these stories I will put down some of the most wise and inspiring quotes we hear.
Dumbledore (from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling): "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light." "We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy." ". . . . . pity the living, and above all, those who live without love." "It is our choices that show who we truly are, far more than our abilities." "We are as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided." "It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be." "While we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one."
Sirius Black (from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling): "We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are." "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."
Gandalf (from The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien): "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." "Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."
Galadriel (from The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien): "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future."
Legolas (from The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien): "Few can foresee wither their road will lead them, till they come to its end." "Strange it may seem." "Yet do not cast all hope away. Tomorrow is unknown. Rede oft is found at the rising of the sun."
